I recently went to the U.S. Open of Surfing and took a few pictures. Alot of great surfing to be shot there. Check it out next year http://usopenofsurfing.com/ Going just as a photographer is a great experience (except for lugging around all that gear). There is much more to photograph than just the surfing competition, there is plenty of art, people, and other sporting events going on at the same time. Even during the other 51 weeks of the year that the US Open isn’t going on, there is plenty to be seen in Huntington Beach, CA. For those reasons, this is probably one of my favorite places to visit.
